Relationship Neurostyles
If you are in an ADHD Marriage or relationship, with a mix of one neurodivergent and one neurotypical partner, a helpful way to think about you as a couple, is that you have different neurostyles.
The differences in how your brain and body show up will impact how you experience situations - past, present and future. It is very likely that, in the past, you will have had vastly different life experiences.
Depending on your neurostyle, your emotional experiences of being a child, going through school, making friends, taking in information, building a career, being a parent, dating and more - will all be different.
Learning about ADHD and yourselves individually will help you move past conflict as a couple.
